Spencer and Julia's Reception

 My cousin Spencer married beautiful Julia on Monday morning.  We went to the reception that night at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.  What a gorgeous place.  The reception was filled with people and great singing.  The kids wanted to walk around the building so adults took turns taking the boys around.  When we were ready to go Ryan was so excited to show us this view from the 9th floor:

There is nothing in the world that compares to knowing that I am sealed to my family for time and all eternity.  I am so grateful for this knowledge and even more grateful that my children also look towards the temple with hope and excitement.

Sunday's are Great!

 Sunday we went to church and relaxed together.  More crafts.  More reading.  Church movies. And more pictures.

 

 

 

 

Bridal Veil Falls

This last week we were able to cross off 3 fun adventures that I had been wanting to do with the kids.  And doing them with my parents made them so much better.  The last time we went to Bridal Veil Falls I was barely pregnant with Callie and it was fall.  This time it was summer and I was feeling great and healthy with 4 kids that were ready for adventure.

 

 My kids love hiking and finding little paths that go off the trail.  What beautiful mountains!

 

 The falls were so cool, both in the awesome sense and the temperature one.  Callie and Annabelle surprised me by wanting to climb up so away we went.

 

 

 There was a section walled off with a bunch of fish to feed.  The kids loved it and most of them even touched the fish-EW!

 The way to the falls was uphill and Grumpy did it almost all by himself.  Going down he went REALLY fast:)

 While everyone else rushed ahead Annabelle and I took our time for a couple pictures.

 I was so excited to try a new pizza place I had heard about but it wasn't open for Saturday lunch:(  We went to Zupas instead and everyone loved it. 

Tracy Aviary

 We hadn't been to the Aviary in a couple years and it has been revamped since the last time we were there as well.  I had to tell my children that my dad and grandma Bonnie liked to look and read about all the birds so we were going at their pace. 

 According to Ryan, Nathan "always gets picked to do the cool things."  I'm not going to disagree, he has done a lot of things over the years.  Isn't this a pretty bird he got to hold?

 We tried to get their early to avoid the heat, but it was HOT.  We made it to the pool afterwards.  We thought Grumpy was going to make it in the water, but he took a nap on the pool deck instead.  The kids loved playing with Nana in the water.

Discovery Gardens

I thought we would just hang out mostly at home with my parents so when my dad asked what we were doing all week I was stumped at first.  Then I remembered our little box with fun things to do and so we looked through it.  I found 3 things that we hadn't done with them and would work with a wheelchair.  We did all 3 over the weekend we had with my folks. We hadn't been to the Discovery Gardens in a long time and enjoyed all the new things there.  We were sad that the big bear wasn't there to sit on any more, but the new bear worked okay.

We didn't wear suits but we got a little (or a lot) wet anyways.

 

 

 

 

 

Later that night we did a boys and girls night.  Grumpy took Greg and the boys to a Bees Baseball game while my mom and I went to a crepe restaurant and a craft store.  We both had fun at our different venues.
