I am not the hugest fan of curling my girls hair, but I LOVE how it looks so maybe I should get on it more. We had dance pictures and needed curly hair. I love these beautiful girls I have. I also love that they don't want to do dance next year because they would rather just dance and have fun at home. Love them!
I love my boys! I can't believe how old they are getting. Ryan was excited to come to his first Court of Honor and earn his first 2 merit badges. Nathan also got two, and earned his Life rank. Next up for him is his Eagle!?! I can't believe we are already there. Time flies. I am so proud of these hardworking scout-loving awesome handsome boys of mine.

We have loved having a membership this last year to Thanksgiving Point. We have definitely got our money's worth for ourselves and taking lots of family and friends for half off. We finished up our membership year with a trip to the Tulip Festival. It was a gorgeous Saturday and while it was a little crowded, it was a great family outing (though our handsome teenager never seems to want to go anywhere with us anymore). The girls especially loved to take pictures with all the gorgeous flowers.
We got to watch baby Emmaline last week. The younger three had a lot of fun helping and trying to entertain her. It was amazing how quickly the room cleared when she got a little fussy. We are definitely not used to crying babies around here anymore:).
In about December I had a little panic attack when a friend mentioned something to me about Hope of America and I didn't remember signing anything. I sent Ryan's teacher a quick email and was so relieved when she responded that I had indeed filled out a form and paid the money. PHEW! I love Hope of America. This is a program that has been going on for 18 years in Utah County. Fifth graders all over the country learn more than a dozen patriotic songs all year long. Then over two nights more than 80 schools converge at BYU (40 one night and 40 the other) and do an amazing performance. There are other musical numbers done by a variety of other dancers, singers, and popular groups in the area. I think it is very entertaining (though very long). I love being on BYU campus (though traffic is absolutely awful). But most of all, I love how 1000s of kids get together and celebrate being a part of this amazing country. I am so proud to be an American and especially a Utahan where we celebrate in the most extraordinary ways. There are many, my Gregory included, that have a hard time with all the hard things about the event, and that's okay. I love it and look forward to going 2 more times as my girls reach fifth grade. Way to go RYAN and God bless America!
