Advanced Orchestra

Nathan is in advanced orchestra this year and it was so cool to hear him play.  It is amazing the difference between beginning, intermediate and advanced orchestra.  I wanted to cover my ears for the first two but the advanced was SOO much better and I love that Nathan is the only boy in the violin section.  I'm glad he has stuck with it so far.

Witches Tea

We sure do miss our amazing neighbors but we are glad they keep inviting us to their parties.  Callie ended up going with a friend on a birthday lunch, but Annabelle and I had a wonderful time.  I love how into Halloween Joann and her family gets.  The decor, the food, the games and the costumes.  It is all so much fun and I'm glad I can attend and not plan it.  The girls had fun making the monster cupcakes and while they looked very unappetizing to me, the kids loved them!

Harry Potter Party

Our local museum puts on a Harry Potter night every year.  Nathan went many years ago but this time I took the girls.  We had a lot of fun seeing animals, getting sorted (Callie-Slytherin, Annabelle-Gryffindor), seeing potion making and a magic show and so much more.  We even panned for fairy poop:)  I am glad we finally made it!

Cobwebs and Lindsay Stirling

As soon as September hit and the stores were carrying Halloween stuff, Callie started asking for a web.  I think it was October 3rd when we finally got it up.  I love making a web, Callie and I had a lot of fun doing it together.  She was my pin handler.  It is now October 13th and it's getting pretty messy, but oh well, we had fun.

Lindsey Stirling came to Orem and we loved it.  She is quite talented and even though Nathan didn't appreciate it as much as I'd like, it was my favorite orchestra concert so far.

General Conference Weekend

I love General Conference and i love how I am all filled up over a weekend where I can relax a little and spend time with my family.  On Saturday we got a lot of things done around the house and did quite a bit of baking for Sunday.  I love that Annabelle asked for my breakfast cake before I was making it.  I love that cake and I am glad the girls like it as well.  During Priesthood session the girls and I took some dinner to a family in the ward and then went on a little bike ride to the park.  I am always stopping and talking to so many people and while the girls don't love it, I enjoy talking to people and connecting.  Some day they will understand.
On Sunday we headed to  Springville to spend time with family.  Dan & Courtney were in town and then everyone else in Utah came around at some time of the day.  My kids are awesome at listening to General Conference and it was a little harder at grandmas, but thank goodness we love cousins.  There are a lot of pictures but there were a lot of wonderful memories that I want to remember.
