Family Camping Trip

I have wanted to go camping as a family for years. It is a lot of work and time and work. With Greg going with the scouts all the time, and me going with girl scouts every summer, we just hadn't made it work for our whole family since 2013ish.  Fall break was coming up and there were no camp outs and the weather was still sunny so I signed us up and made it work.  We headed up Hobble Creek Canyon and plopped our tent down and started a fire immediately as the night was coming on quickly.  We had tin foil dinners and roasted marshmallows.  Greg was in constant demand and roasted us all some beautiful mallows.  Nathan had set up a tent to sleep in but after playing some games in our family tent he decided to join us and stay warm with all of us.
It was a little chilly at night but we all slept through it.  It was funny that we were the only tent in the whole lot.  We had fun in the morning geocaching and playing at the park.  We cooked some eggs, bacon and pancakes and of course since the fire was there we cooked some more marshmallows.  Ryan and some of the other kids kept saying how much fun they were having and that they were so glad we went on this camping trip.  I am so glad we pulled it off.  I loved being out in nature with my Greg and the kiddos.  I loved laughing and playing with them.  I loved working together to set up the tent, keep the fire going and cook together.
All of these pictures make me really happy and I am so glad we took so many pictures.

Play Time

We walked down to the Fish Park and I loved watching these girls laugh and play together.
My skin has never been clearer and healthier, thanks to Rodan & Fields.  I am so grateful I finally found a product that works for me.
Our school started it's own "Quidditch" game called Meadow Ball.  Callie is out in the yellow hula hoop.  It was a lot of fun to watch.
I love that she likes to take pictures with me.
I love finding these kind of gems on my phone.  This guy is SO goofy.
After play practice we took sonic slushes to our favorite shady park.  I loved watching all the kids playing together.  It was a little chilly so I was standing in one of the little patches of sunshine.

This was a really cool random rainbow that we saw driving home.  Nathan leaned out of the car and snapped a picture for me.  You can't see all of the colors, but you can see a few and it reminds me how awesome it was and how I love to point out cool sky things with my kiddos.
