Clarinet Love

Annabelle has had a blast learning how to play the clarinet.  For a finale the city had a big band concert with the middle school and high school.  They even played a few songs together.  It was awesome to hear and awesome to watch.  While we are taking a break until at least next year, Annabelle is really excited to someday pick it up again.

Ice Castles

I have been wanting to take the kids to the Ice Castles in Midway for a few years.  We finally had a free day and sunshine and so we made it out there.  It was beautiful and amazing and we had a blast.  My phone didn't like the cold, it kept shutting off, but thankfully Nathan had his phone and he was more than happy to be the photographer behind the lens.  I can't imagine making that trek again any time soon, but it was truly a miraculous feat that the people had created and the pictures don't do it justice.  One of the really cool things was that we were walking on broken ice chips and it was really cool to walk on.

Snow Days

I love that my children love the snow.  I love that they are all old enough to go outside in the freezing cold and build amazing snowmen, mountains, and forts, without me.  Sure, I go out and see and take pictures, but they are all happy out there for hours while I can last maybe 15 minutes.  The only pictures of Nathan were of his feet, but all four of them were out there with a variety of friends over a couple days building.  Their forts were very impressive and lasted a long time. Greg and Nathan created the Matterhorn out front that took forever to melt.

Treats and Wiggly Teeth

After a busy day at school I took all the kids to the new ice cream sandwich shop.  They were huge and delicious but I have been eating less sugar and it was quite the overload.
Girl Scout cookie time.  Annabelle sold around 350 without going out too much.  I wish we would sell during a warmer time of year.  It was so cold and snowy and I was working and getting sick from all the kid germs.  I am proud of her as she has gotten better each year with her selling.
I made churros con chocolate with some chocolate I got from Christmas.  The chocolate was a little bitter and not as thick as Spain, but the churros were great and made with the churro maker I bought in Spain.
Wiggly teeth are one of the worst things ever.  I can't even look at them without cringing.  Callie had quite a doozy the other day and it was quite, ugh!  It
finally cam out and then a couple days later the next one did.  She is so cute with her two front teeth missing.

Family Rock Climbing

We spent an evening doing what Greg and Nathan do all the time.  The kids loved it and I loved seeing how good Greg and Nathan have gotten.  This was absolutely the best Christmas present we ever gave Nathan.  It isn't cheap, but it has been worth every penny.
