Piano Recital

I had to change Callie's birthday party because i had the wrong date on the kids piano recital.  Thankfully it all worked out, except that Nathan had an AFY activity all day and wasn't able to attend.  I missed having him there, and it made me fret a little about how kids grow up and leave.  Anyway, it was a great piano recital and I love watching these kids progress.

Callie's Mermaid Birthday Party

We sure love birthday parties at our home, and I love the the kids all love to get involved and help.  Callie and Annabelle were happy to decorate the cupcakes.

Annabelle decorated the chair of honor for Callie to open her presents on.  They even had a red (or pink) carpet.

While we waited for the girls to arrive, Ryan had them all playing soccer together and chasing him all over the place.
Next up was the Mixed-Up Mermaid Cafe.  We had the girls fill out menus and then Greg, Annie, Annmarie, Ryan and I were the servers for 15+ little girls. It was a bit chaotic but lots of fun.

We played red light green light, ocean style and had lots of fun getting hot and sweaty.  The girls used colored sand to make stripes in little dolphins and then lots of the kids shook them up because they thought they looked pretty all mixed up.

Nana made a fun poster for the girls to pin the shell on the mermaid's rock.  We had so many girls but they all were excited to wait their turn. I am so thankful that Callie has so many wonderful friends.

We blew up many, many blue balloons to represent an ocean and then we cut up many, many fish and had the girls go fishing.  It was quite crazy and the I couldn't believe that the 50+ balloons didn't cover my floor.

Callie loved getting all the wonderful presents from her amazing friends.  She was definitely spoiled and had a great day playing with all her new things.

5th Grade Camping Day

I am so thankful that I was able to participate in the 5th grade camping/writing day.  The teachers went all out and decorated their rooms and the library like a campground.  The kids all went to Camp Wridastoree and were put into camp groups with counselors and I was able to teach the kids about Exploding the moment around the campfire.  I loved listening to the teachers share stories and then the kids share their stories the following Monday.  What a wonderful immersive week for these kids they are truly lucky to have such wonderful teachers.

Girl Scouts at Lehi City Town Hall

I have loved working with these girls the past many years.  This day we went to Town Hall and met with our one and only city councilwoman.  The girls learned about finances and where are the cities money goes.  We went out to ice cream afterwards and spend some of our hard-earned cookie money.

Probitas Wins the House Cup!

It's been a great year for the Probitas foxes.  We have been on the leader board for many months and so we knew we were definitely in the running for house cup.  It was definitely exciting for all those purple foxes.

I love these kids and I love working with these teachers.
