I forgot to take pictures of the kids and I outside enjoying the snow, or enduring it which is what I do. I may have lived here 10 years, but I still don't love the cold and the snow. Here is my least favorite part of the whole thing:

The piles of clothes that you have to put on to go outside, and then when they come back in they are wet and sometimes muddy. I hate all this stuff.

Here is the good part of winter, the hot chocolate. I need to stock up some more for the winter, but I love the smell, and taste, of hot chocolate in the winter. It just feels so great going down. I even got these boys to try some pomegranate, and most of them even liked it.
I am sure we will have plenty more stormy days and piles of wet clothes, but at least Greg and I will get a break next week...

I heard boxes of hot chocolate are on sale at Smith's this week. It's 10 boxes for $10 and then when you buy 10 you get $5 off so really it's just .50 a box.
I've lived here almost my entire life and I only endure the cold as well. I am not looking forward to winter at all.
Amen to that post. I have lived here my entire life and I still don't care for the cold or snow! And glad you had hot cocoa they came to me and I had to turn them away, guess it is time for me to stocl up, and styrofoam cups too;)
You should hang up a whole bunch of hooks at kid level in the garage and even put a shoe rack or something out there, then the wet clothes could come off before they enter the house. That is what a lot of peopl in Michigan do. I hate the mess too!
At Costco you can get a HUGH box for a great price. If you don't have a card and want one, call me I'll pick one up for ya. You should have called the boys when your boys were outside. They have mostly suck to the backyard the last few days. Zach is so excitied to have Ryan over next week!!!
btw, thanks for letting carsen borrow some boots, obviously i am having a hard time letting go of summer, its just so much easier to get kids dressed in the summer...
I love how your house is the gathering place. You have lots of photos of many neighbor kids doing your activities with you. That is awesome of you. I hope my kids will do that---especially when they get older!
