Seeing Clearly

Last spring Nathan told us that things were pretty blurry at school, and sometimes at home. But, since it was almost summer we put off the inevitable. Last week Greg took him in (since I know nothing about glasses) and found out that his vision is even worse than Greg's. All week Nathan's has been anxiously awaiting his glasses. He is excited to be able to see better but at the same time he is nervous that kids will make fun of him.
I couldn't decide which picture I liked the best. The first one has a glare but he looks older, more himself. The second picture I figured out the glare (something I will have to take into consideration from now on), but he looks so young, almost like Ry. Anyway. Here is my little man, growing up so fast I can't believe it.

I think you just have to get used to having a glare in the picture. I don't know if Greg wears his glasses all the time, but there are not many pictures where Damon's glasses don't have a glare. Such is life! He does look very grown up! And I actually prefer Damon with his glasses on. :)

There is something about getting glasses at a young age, it sure does make him look older. He looks so proud, and he should!

Nate-you are such a handsome guy! Now you have glasses just like your dad and like me too! I bet you can read so much better now.

He does look like Ryan in the second one! Graham was so sure people would make fun of him because of his glasses that when they didn't he started calling himself 4 eyes.

What a cute little guy. Tell him that when he gets older, girls will love his glasses!

So cute! I love glasses! There is nothing like coming home from the eye doc with a new pair of glasses and being able to see things clearly.

Em, I cannot believe how big your kiddos are. It has been too long.

Ah, he looks cute. And, I'd be really surprised if he got teased. Glasses are fun for kids - I had friends that wanted to wear mine - and they're always in style. :)

Nathan - I love the new look. I wasn't sure about wearing my glasses either - but I LOVE being able to see. Be proud of yourself...others will give up the teasing when you are! Love Nana

He looks great! Hopefully my boys won't have my eyes, but Bryan is slightly color blind so either way, they might have issues :)
